My romanticism extends beyond near-perfect romantic relationships with just a hint of page-turning drama. I am an eternal optimist when it comes to the idea of living in a diverse, multicultural society where equality among ethnicities and the sexes is a staple. Not a dream. 
An ideal relationship and an ideal society require growth and soul-searching on the part of its members. Perhaps that is why I am most intrigued by stories of people – particularly women – on a journey of self-discovery.
